It’s Christmas Day 2016, and maybe you need an extra gift or some groceries.

Naturally, then, you wonder: Is Walmart open today? On Christmas Day 2016.

Bad news shoppers: Walmart is closed everywhere on Christmas Day.

Walmart closes at 6 p.m. tonight on Christmas Eve 2016.

That means all stores in the country — even those usually open 24 hours — will close tonight, including Walmart’s grocery shopping. This is two hours earlier than Walmart usually closes on Christmas Eve.

“Our associates work hard all year to make this holiday season special for our customers, and we appreciate what they do every day,” said Judith McKenna, chief operating officer, Walmart U.S. “We also know that getting home on Christmas Eve to spend time with families is important. That’s why this year we’ll be closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.”

Walmart is NOT open on Christmas Day 2016.

All Walmart stores will reopen December 26 at 6 a.m.
