Officers investigated 10 wrecks, issued 41 tickets and made 14 arrests on the following charges:

— Speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia

Deputies investigated three wrecks and made two arrests on the following charges:

— Public drunkenness and disorderly conduct

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

— Smoke detector malfunction at 10:50 a.m. in the parking garage at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi; no fire

— Blown transformer at 4:05 p.m. on Molly Barr Road; stood by for electric department

— Smoke detector malfunction at 7:59 p.m. at the Beta Theta Pi house on campus; no fire

— Air conditioning unit freezing up cause unit to start smoking setting off an alarm at 2:28 a.m. at 2400 Anderson Road, Apt. 45; no fire
