A listing of local burglaries supplied by law enforcement agencies to warn residents to take extra security precautions:
— The Oxford Police Department reported three burglaries with a vehicle burglary at Kangaroo gas station and on Belk Boulevard and residential burglaries on Hathorn Road and at The Mark apartments.

Officers investigated one wreck, issued 18 tickets and made 12 arrests on the following charges:
— Driving while license suspended, expired tag and DUI
— Possession of drug paraphernalia
— Two disorderly and failure to comply
— Careless driving and DUI
— Public intoxication and possession of a fake ID

— Four minors in possession of alcohol

Officers investigated six wrecks and made three arrests on the following charges:
— Driving while license suspended and broken taillight
— Possession of drug paraphernalia
— Public drunkenness, resisting arrest and possession of a fake ID

— Service call and ambulance assist
— Stolen bicycle

Firefighters responded to the following calls:
— Grease fire at 8:55 a.m. at Kroger deli; out on arrival
— Motor on yogurt machine burned up and set off alarm at 8:54 p.m. Tutti Frutti; no fire
— Someone pulled a fire alarm at 1:51 this morning at Minor Hall; no fire
— Smoke detector malfunction at 2:53 and 4:45 this morning at Sigma Nu house on campus; no fire
Lafayette County Fire
Firefighters responded at 8:01 p.m. to Highway 6 West for a wreck but were cancelled en route.
