Mary Holley LaBarreare

Mary Holley LaBarreare, 86, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Samuell officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

She was the widow of Bryson Marsh LaBarreare and a member of the Church of Christ. She formerly worked as a cosmetologist and worked at GNC, but found the most fulfillment in raising her family and tending to her home. Formerly living in Southaven, she moved to Oxford 17 years ago to be closer to her family. She faithfully read her Bible, enjoyed the sermons of Billy Graham and Charles Stanley and loved listening to gospel music on television.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gertie Kethum, and a brother, R.G. Holley.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra LaBarreare of Cordova, Tennessee, Kathy Stoker and Mary Jo Sellers, both of Oxford; three sisters, Colleen Moffett of Iuka, Shirley Miller of Memphis, Tennessee and Mamie Simpson of Counce, Tennessee; two brothers, J.M. Holley of Ripley, and Buddy Holley of Iuka; four grandsons and one great grandson.
