Maude Gipson Williams, 55, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at her residence in Oxford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the T.O.M.B. Building in Oxford with the Rev. Clinton Gipson officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before service time. Burial will be in Bethlehem CME Church cemetery in Etta. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Serenity-Martin Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Hullie Williams of Oxford; sons, LaTorrie Williams of Atlanta, Georgia and Kendrick Williams of Oxford; daughter, Belinda Williams of Tupelo; three brothers, the Rev. Marvin Gipson of Oxford, the Rev. Frank Gipson of Greenwood, and the Rev. Clinton Gipson of Kosciusko; sisters, Ellen Thompson and Wanda Dunn, both of Oxford; three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
