A Taylor man was arrested Monday for possessing a stolen firearm. According to the Oxford Police Department, officers pulled over a vehicle near the Square Monday. During a search of the vehicle, narcotics and a firearm were recovered. The firearm was listed as stolen from a home in Grand Oaks during a burglary reported this summer. The burglary case is still under investigation.

Charged was DeShannon Price, 19, who was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $2,500 bond.
