WATER VALLEY — James Leon “Jimmy” Hamblett, 61, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at his home in Water Valley. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Water Valley, he worked as a lineman at Holley Carburetor, where he retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Ole Miss fan. He loved his great-niece, Ellie; his cat, Cuddles; and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his nephew, Brad Camp of Oxford; his great-niece, Evelyn “Ellie” Victoria Camp of Oxford; and his brother-in-law, Daniel Fowler of Kosciusko.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara C. Fowler.
