WATER VALLEY — Gladys Tenhet Crenshaw, 88, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Bain officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. this evening at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Sledge, she worked as an inspector in quality control at Baldwin Piano Company where she retired after 22 years of service. She later became a librarian at Blackmur Memorial Library in Water Valley. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Water Valley and a devoted mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, crocheting, dancing, flower gardening, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. “Speedy” Crenshaw; daughter, Peggy Nell Sorrells and brother, Joe Tenhet.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry McMinn of Water Valley; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
