— The Oxford Police Department reported two residential burglaries with one on Elmore Drive and another at The Hub.

 

Oxford Police

Officers investigated 14 wrecks, issued 64 tickets and made 30 arrests on the following charges:

Harassing phone calls

Three for shoplifting

Malicious mischief and disorderly conduct

Possession of Xanax and DUI

Careless driver, expired tag and DUI

Possession of Xanax

Two for DUI

Two for simple assault

Careless driving, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI

Careless driving, driving while license suspended and DUI

Disturbing the peace

Four for public intoxication

Two for domestic violence

Domestic violence, possession of marijuana and warrant served

One headlight and minor in possession of alcohol

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Burned food activated a smoke detector at 10:31 p.m. Friday; no fire

Assisted EMS with lifting a patient at 5:05 p.m. Saturday at 109 Red Rose Lane

Resident pulled a fire alarm at 5:40 p.m. Saturday at Oxford Health and Rehab; no fire
