ATLANTA — John “Larry” Flemons, 60, formerly of Abbeville, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at noon at Providence U.M. Church in Abbeville with the Rev. Bobby Dalley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be on Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with family hour from 5-7 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Lafayette County, he was an upholstery finisher.

He is survived by his wife, Zennia Pandora Flemons; daughter, Carmen Flemons; sisters, Gladys Kirby of Blytheville, Arkansas, Ella Ree Gillom, Dorothy Shaw, Ressie Isom, Pearlie Mae Farrow, Curley Farrow and Stella Flemons, all of Abbeville; and one grandson.
