A business has opened its doors in the area for locals interested in shopping.

Melonvine Marketplace, a new flea market, has been renovated in the old Jefferson Davis schoolhouse located at 817 S. Main St. in Water Valley.

The marketplace is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. The business is a multi-faceted endeavor that highlights an outdoor flea market as well as a farmers market and an indoor art antique and collectibles booth mall.
