TUPELO — Evelyn Louise Evans Knighton, 58, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Davis officiating. Burial will following in Pine Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home and again on Friday at the church one hour prior to service time. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Oxford, she was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her kind heart towards children, her generosity in helping others and her famous chicken and dumplings. She enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, garage sales and camping.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher O’Neil Knighton.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Knighton of Water Valley; daughter, April Knighton of Water Valley; son, Keith Knighton of Water Valley; sister, Rose Jackson of Oxford; two brothers, Tommy Evans of Oxford, and William Evans of New Albany; and three grandchildren.
