Ouida Faye Styers Hancock

OXFORD — Ouida Faye Styers Hancock, 95, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at her home in Oxford. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Young officiating. Burial will follow in College Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m. until service time at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Oxford, she graduated from University High School in 1953. She was a member of the Oxford Church of Christ. She was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, reading, cooking and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hancock of Oxford; her daughters, Micki Lamb of Memphis, Tennessee, and Vicki Ellis of Blytheville, Arkansas; sons, Jerry Hancock of Oxford, and Richard Hancock of Alexandria, Virginia; three sisters, Barbara Browning of Oxford, Sue Welch of Franklin, Tennessee and Jan Webster, of Oxford; two brothers, Thomas Styers of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Joe Styers of Oxford; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
