Evante Topp and Rashanda Booker

Evante Topp and Rashanda Booker were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on Oct. 3 at Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church. The ceremony was lead by Prophetess Deborah Bailey.

The bride is the daugh- ter of Mike and Regarner Thompson of Oxford. She attended Louisiana State University, graduating with a PhD in educational leadership. She is employed as assistant dean of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

The groom is the son of Yulondra Topp and Gregory Evans. He attended Louisiana State University, graduating with a master’s degree in higher education. He is employed as alumni fund development officer at Williams College.

Angelle Harris served as matron of honor. Rae Bordon, Chandra Stacie, Deanie Herrod and Lashawn Johnson were bridesmaids.

Mike Manor served as best man. Equal Williams, Larry March, Tolden Williams and Jullian Heidelberg served as groomsmen. The flower girl was Mariah Topp and the ring bearer was Daniel Watson.

Following the ceremo ny, the bride’s parents hosted the reception at Colonel’s Quarters at Castle Hill. The ballroom was decorated with beau- tiful orchids, roses, daisies and many other beautiful flowers arranged by Keith Winchester.

Special moments were captured by J.C and Stephanie Rhea Photography. Honey Bee Bakery made the four-tier bride’s cake and Batman groom’s cake.

The couple started the night by dancing to the song, “Love on Top,” by Beyonce and ended with a “Let love sparkle” getaway with wedding sparklers lighting up the sky.
