An Oxford man was arrested for threatening a  power company employee on Monday.

Theus L. Marion, 37, of Oxford was charged with simple assault on after an alleged incident at 10:43 a.m. Monday on County Road 104 with a Northeast Mississippi Electric Power Association company employee.

According to Lafayette County Sheriff’s Investigator Alan Wilburn, Marion’s power was being disconnected and he was upset. He allegedly verbally assaulted the employee and displayed a firearm.

A bond was not set as of this morning.
