Samuel Asa Samples, 26, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at his home in Lafayette County. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Colonel’s Quarters at Castle Hill, 120 Castlehill Drive in Oxford, with a private service and interment on Thursday. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was an HVAC technician for Franklin Heating and Air in Oxford and an HVAC student at Delta Technical College.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Samples, and grandfather, Ray Davis.

He is survived by his mother, Sara Davis Brown, and stepfather, Kenny Brown, of Potts Camp; a brother, Mathew Samples of Potts Camp; grandmother, Jimmie Davis of Potts Camp; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
