OXFORD — Annie Lucille Carter Kilgore, 82, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley with Bro. Rayond Aven and Bro. Larry Kilgore officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Yalobusha County. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Pontotoc, she worked as a seamstress for Rice Styx and later for Big Yank in Water Valley. She was a faithful and active member of Springdale Family Worship Center in Water Valley. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family, sewing, quilting, crafting, cooking, flower gardening, fishing and going for rides around the lake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Henry Leonard Kilgore Sr.

She is survived by two daughters, Diann Crocker and Nancy Kelley, both of Tupelo; sons, Henry Leonard Kilgore Jr. and Howard Dean Kilgore, both of Pope; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
