A man was arrested Saturday by the Oxford Police Department for allegedly pulling a gun during a dice game.

According to the OPD, last week a report was filed against Chris Paten, 27, of Oxford, by an alleged victim who claimed they were playing dice with Paten who got mad and pulled out a gun and took the complainant’s money.

Paten was seen on Robinson Road where the reported armed robbery took place. Officers discovered narcotics on Paten when he was arrested as well as a stolen firearm that was taken from a home in the county. Paten is not a suspect in the recent ATM Regions Bank robberies, according to OPD.

He was charged with armed robbery and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $75,000 bond. Other charges could be pending.
