Attempted robbery reported — kind of

An alleged witness reported an attempted strong armed robbery in the Clearbrook subdivision Tuesday night; however, the reported victim told police they did not wish to speak to them or report a crime, according to the Oxford Police Department.

It is unknown whether or not a weapon was used and no one was injured.

At 2:08 p.m. to Kincannon on campus for a smoke detector activation that was likely set off from workers waxing the floors.

At 8:14 p.m. to 56 CR 3065 for a false alarm.

At 11:30 p.m. to 805 Highway 334 after a passerby though they saw smoke coming from a home but it was a pottery kiln.
