OXFORD — Lucille Kimmons, 87, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at her residence in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at noon at Second Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Andrew Robinson Sr. officiating. Burial will be Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Monday from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. with visitation from 5-6 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes, which is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Lafayette County, she was a retired nanny and member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, a former member of the Usher Board, Senior Choir and Kitchen Committee.

She is survived by her husband, James “Sonny Boy” Kimmons of Oxford; daughters, Mary Ann Morgan of Bloomfield, Connecticut and Lola Pearson of Abbeville; sons, George Isom and Thomas Kimmons, both of Oxford; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
