Oxford Fire Department

On Wednesday at 1:22 p.m. to 726 Nottingham Drive after the resident activated a smoke detector while cooking.

On Wednesday at 3:24 p.m. to 1416 Van Buren No. 4 for a smoke detector malfunction.

On Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. to Solo Apartments on University Avenue for an elevator lobby smoke detector malfunction.

On Wednesday at 4:34 p.m. to the Kappa Sigma house after a power outage activated the alarm system.

On Wednesday at 8:50 p.m. to Stewart Hall on campus for a smoke detector malfunction

On Thursday at 5:33 a.m. to the Kappa Sigma house again for same alarm probelm.

On Thursday at 9:13 a.m. to 620 North Lamar Blvd. after a resident left a potholder in the oven and it caught fire. Fire out on arrival.

On Thursday at 2:01 p.m. to 203 Poplar Heights for a smoke detector malfunction.

On Friday at 8:58 p.m. to 144 Eagle Pointe Loop for an alarm but were canceled en route

On Friday at 2:04 p.m. to County Road 105 for an alarm but were canceled en route.

On Sunday at 1:16 and 3:14 a.m. to Hermitage Gardens for a smoke detector malfunction in the dining room.

Lafayette County Fire

On Saturday at 11:13 p.m. to 1076 Highway 328 for a false alarm.

On Sunday at 11:55 a.m. in the Mallard Point and 4-H Club Road area for a report of a missing man who was riding a four-wheeler in the area. Subject was located.

On Sunday at 5:43 p.m. to 7007 Bluff Lane for a fire alarm but no cause was found.
