WATER VALLEY — Martha Laverne McAdams Willingham, 98, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with burial in the Sylva Rena Cemetery in Yalobusha County. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at Seven Oaks Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

She graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Water Valley and was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Wilson “Hickey” Willingham; son Kenneth Willingham; sisters Ruby Walters and Lillian Margaret McAdams; and brother Lewis McAdams.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Fitts of Water Valley; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
