OXFORD — Thomas F. Atkinson Jr., 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley with Bro. Raymond Aven officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Flat Cemetery in Lafayette County. Visitation will be held on Thursday from noon until service time at Seven Oaks Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Water Valley, he was a retired plumber who enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and spending time with family.

  He is survived by five daughters, Gloria Riggs of Tupelo, Linda Godbold of Saltillo, Felicia Harris and Kimberly Kelly both of Oxford and Kristi Atkinson of Idaho; one son, David Atkinson of Pope; one sister, Mary Chandler of Oxford; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
