OXFORD — Osa V. Jones, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Hope M.B. Church in Oxford with the Rev. Willie G. Ervin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from noon until service time at the church. Hodges Funeral Homes of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Lafayette County, she was a homemaker and member of New Hope M.B. Church, as well as a member of the Mother Board.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Jones and son, Thomas Lewis.

She is survived by her son Edward “Sconnie” Lewis of Abbeville; sister, Mary Alice Lewis of Oxford; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
