Oxford Fire Department

At 11:35 a.m. called to 10 Thacker Loop when workers knocked a sprinkler head off the ceiling, activating the water flow alarm.

At 12:39 p.m. called to Oxford Health and Rehab and the call was cancelled.

At 2:37 p.m. called to Johnson B. Commons for a first-floor west service elevator lobby smoke detector malfunction.

At 2:54 p.m. called to The Retreat at Oxford apartment No. 98 when cooking grease popped out, catching stove area on fire.

Lafayette County Fire

At 1:59 p.m. called to County Road 102 for a grass fire and it was put out.

At 2:16 p.m. called to 42 Sheila Drive, and it was a false alarm that was canceled before arrival.

Around 11 a.m., had a false alarm at Elliot Lumber Co. at 18 County Road 166 and were canceled before leaving the station.
