OXFORD — John Kevin Canterbury, 47, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital–North Mississippi in Oxford, from complications of pneumonia. A memorial service was held Friday, at First Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Burial will take place at a later date. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Grenada, he worked at Boure’ in Oxford and was known for his winning smile, infectious laugh and the ability to lift the spirits of all of those in which in came into contact. He was a member of Airport Baptist Church in Grenada. 

He is survived by brothers Ken Canterbury and Keith Canterbury, both of Coffeeville and Terry Canterbury of Greenwood; two nephews and a niece.
