Rest for the Olive Trees presents Fresh Oil at 4 p.m. at Word of Life Ministry at 343 Peddler Road, Taylor. Featuring Apostle Robbie Peters of The Empowerment Word and Truth Church in Chicago, Illinois, with special guests, Men of Integrity.

The Orchard will be hosting IF:Oxford, a non-denominational Christian women’s conference. The church will be telecasting the live event from Austin, Texas. Past conferences have focused on issues such as marriage, parenthood and forgiveness. Cost is $25 a ticket.

Feb. 6

Denmark Baptist Church will have a benefit for the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital starting at 5 p.m. when soup, chili and hot dogs will be served. Singing will begin at 6 p.m. featuring the Canaanlanders, the McMillen Family and Steve McGregory. All proceeds will benefit the hospitals. Located at 77 County Road 423. The Kingdom Movement Community Church of Coffeeville’s annual free Souper Bowl is noon to 3 p.m. The free event will be held at the JCH Memorial Banquet Hall, 59 Front St. in Coffeeville.

Explorer’s Bible Study for Women: Women are invited to study end time prophecy and Revelation. Wednesday morning class will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at North Oxford Baptist Church. This class includes children’s preschool program and homeschooling through fourth grade, in addition to a new moms and babies class. The Wednesday noon class will meet from noon to 12:55 p.m. at Oxford-University United Methodist Church. The Wednesday night class is from 6 to 7:05 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Nondenominational classes taught by Beth Fitts. Women of all ages can attend. Call Jan Trussel at 662-236-1615 to register.

Gospel and bluegrass: Every Monday at Black Jack Church on Sardis Road from 6 to 9 p.m. Pickers are welcome. Bring a potluck.
