Donald Harvey O’Dell

OXFORD — Donald Harvey O’Dell, 59, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at the home of his best friend, Kathleen Henry, near Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at 824 Highway 334 in Oxford. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, he had lived in the Oxford area for the past 19 years. He was a general maintenance supervisor for the University of Mississippi Physical Plant. Going to the beach and deep-sea fishing were things O’Dell enjoyed. He also enjoyed relaxing and fishing from the lakeside. Known as a good cook, he also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Donald James “Jamie” O’Dell of Oxford; three brothers, John O’Dell, Troy O’Dell and Dwight O’Dell, all of Oxford.
