A man claims he was robbed Sunday at Campus Creek apartments when he was attempting to purchase $1,000 worth of marijuana.

According to the Oxford Police Department, the alleged victim said he arranged a meeting with another man to purchase the pot. When the suspect arrived, he told the buyer to get into the car at which time the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the buyer hand over the money. A fight reportedly occurred and the suspect hit the victim multiple times. An ambulance was called, which notified OPD. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

There have been no arrests as of this morning.
