OXFORD — Larry D. Mitchell, 64, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at his residence in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Springfield M.B. Church with the Rev. James Hull officiating. Burial will be in Orwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes of Oxford, which is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Batesville, he was a press setter at Borg Warner in Water Valley. He was a member of South Panola High School Class of 1971.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Carothers Mitchell of Oxford; two daughters, Abigail Pegues and Brenda Carothers, both of Oxford; son, Damian Liggins of New York; brothers, Kenneth Fox and Kelvin Fox, both of Albany, New York; three sisters, Debra Fox of Albany, New York, Pauline Fox of South Carolina and Pamela Henry of Honolulu, Hawaii; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
