OXFORD — Hattie Geraldine Green, 78, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at her home in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Yellow Leaf Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Nutbush, Tennessee, she was a retired registered nurse and former director of nursing at Yalobusha County Nursing Home. She previously worked at Northeast Power, past president of ESA Club and past president of Oxford and Union County PTA. She was a member of Yellow Leaf Baptist Church and deeply loved her children, grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her husband, Billy C. Holcomb of Oxford; daughters Leslie Carol Moore of St. Francisville, Louisiana, and Wendy Holcomb of Oxford; sister Shirley McFarland of Corning, Arkansas; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
