Nancy Ruth Waller

OXFORD — Nancy Ruth Waller, 78, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Allen and the Rev. Charles Lipe officiating. Burial will follow in Eastover Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Lambert, she was a homemaker, ran a day care in her home and assisted her husband as the bookkeeper for the family business. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Oxford. She enjoyed spending time with her family and also traveling to the Smoky Mountains. She was a former member of Clear Creek Baptist Church where she served as church librarian, worked in the nursery and was active in the WMU. She took delight in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Edward Ruth Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph B. Waller of Oxford; daughters, Cynthia Parkin of Oxford, Donna Hitchcock of Columbus and Virginia Davis of  Gulf Breeze, Florida; sons Gary Waller of Louisville, Kentucky and Ron Waller of Madison; sisters Sarah Fayyard of Harmontown and Jane Moore of Clinton; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
