SOUTHAVEN — James N. Mize, 84, of Southaven, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in DeSoto County. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill South Funeral Home with burial in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Forest Hill South Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired from Bell South and also worked for Seimens as a member of the Steamfitters Local 614 and an active member of Getwell Road United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents and three brothers, he was preceded in death by a son, David Mize.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Mize; daughter Elizabeth Mize of Memphis, Tennessee; and brother Dee Mize of Oxford.
