The man accused of shooting and killing the owner of a Pontotoc funeral home has been indicted for murder.

The February grand jury indicted Nathaniel A. Huddleston, 27, of Oxford on Feb. 27 for the shooting death of Kenneth Roberson, 52, who was found dead in October at his Molly Barr Road residence after Oxford Police Department received a call from a family member asking police to check on Roberson.

Huddleston used to work, and possibly live, with Roberson at some point. In July 2015, he was arrested for setting fire to Roberson’s funeral home and stealing a safe. Those charges are still pending in Pontotoc.

Huddleston entered a not guilty plea during his arraignment on March 2 and his attorney, Leroy Percy, filed a motion requesting a speedy trial.
