An Oxford teen was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing items from a car.

According to the Oxford Police Department, Allen Mathis, 19, was arrested after investigators discovered him in possession of alleged stolen property from a vehicle burglary on Old Taylor Road over the weekend.

He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $1,500 bond.
