OXFORD — Peggy Ann Reid Rahaim, 67, died Friday, March 11, 2016, at her home in Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Joe Tonos officiating. A visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A graduate of R.H. Watkins High School in Laurel, she married her high school sweetheart after graduation. She embarked on a journey that took her across the country, but ended up in her hometown. Her most rewarding job was the school secretary at the small elementary school her children attended. From Cub Scout den mother to grandmother, she was a loving inspiration to all she cared for. After her children were grown and having children of their own, she worked as an accountant and real estate agent. She loved bird-watching and was a faithful, charitable and loving woman.

She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Oxford and enjoyed her garden plot at the Oxford Community Garden, the YMCA of Oxford and watching her grandchildren play baseball, tennis and soccer.
