Sustainable Oxford, a growing community organization dedicated to stewardship and sustainability for future generations,  invites the L-O-U community to its March forum and potluck on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center.

The topic of the forum is “Culture and Sustainability.” Representatives from Thacker Mountain Radio, the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, and local artists, writers and musicians will be among the voices at this event. The goal of this forum is to encourage discussion and action concerning how development and change affects the local community, traditions and culture.

The theme for the potluck is “traditional recipes.” Those attending are encouraged to bring a dish, drink and an open mind.

Monthly forums and potlucks are free, family friendly and open to the public.
