Two adult women were arrested for allegedly being involved in a fight on a school bus with a 16-year-old girl.

According to witnesses, a fight broke out on a Lafayette County School bus between two female students. When the bus stopped, relatives of one of the girls got on to the bus and the fight continued.

The two adult women were charged with trespassing and simple assault, both misdemeanor charges.

The alleged victim suffered injuries to her face.

Lafayette County School District officials could not be reached for comment.
