MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Kendric “Ween” Gordon, 46, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Regional One in Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Tallahatchie Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building with burial in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and family hour from 5-6 p.m. in the Vera Mae Hodges Chapel of Remembrance at Hodges Funeral Homes, which is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Lafayette County, he worked as a roofer for Parker Roofing.

He is survived by his wife Sandy Gordon of Oxford; son Kyle Gordon of Oxford; daughter Kia Pegues of Oxford; stepdaughters Kourtney Brockman of Oxford and McKinzey Hockaday of Marshall, Missouri; mother Mary Sue Gordon of Oxford; brother Larry Hilliard of Oxford; sisters Valerie Gordon-Kirkwood, Pam Gordon, Tonila Gordon and Twanna Phillips, all of Oxford, and Ameena Dennis of Abbeville.
