OXFORD — George A. Wilson, 83, died Thursday, May 5, 2016, at his residence in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes with burial in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with family hour from 5-6 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes, which is in charge of arrangements.

A retired construction worker, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife Fannie Walker-Wilson of Oxford; son Felix Wilson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; stepson Craig Wilson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughters Beverly Hinney of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Dennetra Wilson of Florida; stepdaughters Annie Walker and Lillie Walker, both of Oxford; sisters Olivia Smith and C.B. Smith, both of Chicago; brother Thomas Wilson of Ohio; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
