The Oxford Police Department arrested a man Wednesday after video footage recorded him stomping around inside closed businesses on the Square.

According to reports, officers responded to the Square after a business owner called and said while in the office, the owner saw someone on the security camera inside of the business rummaging around, and the person ran once he heard the owner was inside the building.

Officers arrived and found a man who matched the description given by the caller, later identified as David Joseph Henderson, 20, from Opal Lane Ripon, California.

After speaking to several business owners and watching video, it was determined Henderson allegedly went into several businesses, including The Levee, The Corner Bar and Rafters, after they were closed.

Officers viewed Henderson attempting to take drinks while inside the bars. When he was stopped by police, Henderson had a stack of wristbands in his pocket.

Henderson was arrested and charged with burglary of a commercial building and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $2,500 bond.
