An Oxford man was arrested Monday for allegedly shooting his stepson in the arm.

According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, on Saturday, Charles Hickenbottom, 59, and his stepson got into an argument and Hickenbottom allegedly shot the stepson in the arm with a shotgun. The alleged victim was taken to The Med in Memphis via a medical helicopter.

Hickenbottom was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center on a $50 bond.
