BATESVILLE — Emma Marie Dixon Patterson, 70, died Saturday, May 21, 2016, at her home in Batesville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Bill Herron and Clay Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery in Batesville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until service time at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Sikeston, Missouri, she was retired from Springs Industries where she worked as a supervisor. She was a charter member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and had a deep love for her family. She enjoyed finding bargains at thrift stores and yard sales. She never allowed her sickness to be a hindrance to spending time with friends and family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Earl Patterson.

She is survived by daughters Vickie Marie Russell and Mary Ann Whitaker, both of Batesville; son Thomas Earl Patterson Jr. of Batesville; sister Pauline Humes of Ward, Arkansas; brother Ray Dixon of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
