OXFORD — Mary Alice Burt, 85, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at East Providence M.B. Church with burial in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Lafayette County, she was a retired line operator for Emerson Electric Company and member of East Providence M.B. Church.

She is survived by sons Michael Burt, Jerry Burt and Gregory Burt, all of Oxford, Cornelius Burt of Winter Garden, Florida, Danny Burt of Memphis, Tennessee, and Eric Burt of Decatur, Illinois; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
