James “Peepaw” A. Bell Sr., 77, died Wednesday, June 22, at his home in Potts Camp.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Red Banks Baptist Church. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation starting at 4 p.m. at the church. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bell was born in Ripley and worked as a truck terminal manager for Merchants Trucking Line for 17 years. As an avid sports fan, he was said to love any sport that had something to do with a ball. He was a cherished father, an amazing great-grandfather, and a friend to many.

He is survived by two daughters; Teresa (Justin) Vannelli of Ocean Springs and Lisa (Gary) Hickman of Holly Springs; two sons, James A. Bell Jr. of Blue Mountain and Dennis Bell of Ellisville. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gay Bell, and his parents, Roy and Ilene Bell.
