United Way of Oxford and Lafayette County has announced its latest investment in the community, with almost $375,000 recently awarded to local programs and coalitions.

Alice Ricks, executive director of United Way of Oxford and Lafayette County, is pleased with the impact these grants will make.

“The needs in our community are many,” Ricks said. “When awarding grants, we focus on three building blocks for a good life: good health, quality education and a stable income. Our partner agencies are committed to making a difference in Oxford and Lafayette County and can demonstrate the impact their programs are having. Your gifts are breaking the cycle of poverty while also meeting people’s basic and immediate needs.”
