COLUMBIA, Missouri — Paula Helene Elam, 49, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016. Services were held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born in Quincy, Illinois, on February 18, 1967, to Rick and Jacqueline Elam. Paula graduated from Hickman High School and attended Stephens College as well as University of Missouri. She had a career in commercial real estate with Midland Group (St. Louis) and Maly (Columbia), and established her own firm in Kansas City. She had a passion for lake activities, snow skiing, and her beloved pets.

Paula is preceded in death by her stepfather Lawrence Bulgin, and grandparents Paul and Ella Jones, and Al and Helene Elam.

She is survived by her parents Jackie Bulgin, and Rick (Karen) Elam; siblings Trevor (Denise) Bulgin, Melinda (Rick) Schumacher, and Todd (Stefana) Morgan; and four nieces and nephews.
