ABBEVILLE — Ronald D. “Hook” Swinney, 58, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at his residence in Abbeville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Tallahatchie Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building with burial in Providence Cemetery in Abbeville. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by daughter Ebony Cancer of Oxford; sons Terris Smith, Derondick Smith and Anthony Smith, all of Oxford; brother Ricky McGee of Oxford; sisters Edna Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Karen McGee and Shelia Bowdry, both of Rock Island, Illinois, and Stephanie Williams of Abbeville; and six grandchildren.
