The annual Neshoba County Fair is underway once again, providing a week of fellowship, food and tradition in a way that only Mississippi could deliver.

Oxford, as has come to be the norm, has a significant presence at the fair this year, and we are proud that Thacker Mountain Radio will be the featured entertainment on Saturday night at 8 p.m. at Founder’s Square.

Started at an establishment on the Square in 1997 and later adopted by Off Square Books in Oxford, the live music and words radio show is an engaging celebration of our arts culture and talent that is second to none.

While Mississippi and Southern culture is often on tap, it is Oxford that shines the brightest when Thacker Mountain Radio is live for its 27 annual shows.

Only a fortunate few locations each year get to host the road show version of Thacker Mountain Radio, and the fair is one.

We have no doubt the Neshoba audience will consider it a highlight of an exciting week. And, we are proud that Oxford’s smart and entertaining culture gets to take center stage there.
