Gone are the days when school started the end of August or after Labor Day.

So even though the days are still stifling hot school days are just around the corner.

Lafayette County Schools start on Friday, August 5.

Oxford City Schools start on Monday, August 8. (Get your supply lists here.)

Tupelo Public Schools on Wednesday, August 3 (yes, they start that early)

Mountain Brook, Alabama Thursday, August 11.

Atlanta Public Schools, Wednesday, August 3 (more early birds)

Nashville Public Schools (Davidson), Wednesday, August 3 (half day only)

Shelby County Public Schools, Monday, August 8.
